I take a system from the schema to production and stay with it: designing the data model, fixing the queries that turn out to be slow, deciding what gets cached and when that cache is cleared, then setting up the CI/CD that ships it. Campaign deadlines cannot be moved, so I plan for the traffic peak before it arrives instead of firefighting my way through it.
